Anchor Point Therapy Services

Steady support for children learning to navigate their world.

Anchor Point Therapy Services provides behavior therapy for children with autism, ADHD and other developmental differences. Our services are built around each family's goals, routines, and daily life.

What we do

We provide behavior support and teach new skills in the home, in school and daycares, or in the community.

Behavior assessment

We take a thorough look at your child's strengths, communication, and where challenging behavior occurs. A treatment plan is then created to teach new skills and reduce the behavior using measurable goals.

One on one behavior therapy

Direct sessions that teach communication, daily living, play, and social skills through short, repeated practice at your child's pace.

Caregiver training

You meet one on one with your child's analyst to learn the same strategies the treatment team uses, so progress carries over into mornings, mealtimes, outings, and bedtime.

Supervision and program oversight

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst reviews your child's data regularly and adjusts the plan when something is not working.

How we work

Family goals first

We ask parents what goals they want to see for their child. We also conduct a standardized skills assessment, which gives us a consistent way to identify the skills your child needs to learn to stay on track developmentally.

Skills that transfer

Teaching happens in the settings where the skill is needed, not just at a table.

Progress you can see

Data is collected every session and shared with you in plain language.

Frequently asked questions

If your question is not answered here, send it to us and we will get you a real answer.

What is applied behavior analysis?

Applied behavior analysis, often shortened to ABA, is a therapy based on the study of how learning happens. We look at what a child is already able to do, what is getting in the way, and what happens right before and right after a behavior. That information tells us how to teach a new skill and how to make challenging behavior less likely.

What does a session actually look like?

Sessions are built out of many short practice opportunities woven into activities your child is already doing. A session may include play, requesting, following directions, self care routines, and time with peers or siblings. Your child's interests drive the activities.

Does my child need an autism diagnosis?

Not necessarily. We work with children who have autism, ADHD, and other developmental differences. Whether services are covered depends on your specific plan, and we can look into that with you.

Who provides the therapy?

Direct sessions are run by trained behavior technicians. Every case is assessed, written, and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, who stays involved the whole time your child is in services.

How many hours a week will my child need?

That comes out of the assessment rather than a set formula. Some children do well with a few focused hours a week on one or two goals, while others benefit from a more comprehensive schedule. We recommend what the data supports and revisit it as your child progresses.

How long does a child stay in services?

Long enough to meet the goals in the plan and to be sure the skills hold up without our support. Goals are reviewed regularly, and we reduce hours as your child becomes more independent rather than keeping services going indefinitely.

What is my role as a parent?

An active one. Caregiver training is part of every plan, because the strategies work best when they continue after the session ends. We will never hand you a plan you do not understand.

How do we get started?
